General FAQ
1. What is CrunchyCo?
CrunchyCo is a company founded over a decade ago by Gabe Hayward and Aaron Campion. It is the tool they use to extend their various projects out into the world and make their creations available for anyone to enjoy. CrunchyCo is about art, media, and community; things we are passionate about in life. Our interests are reflected within five branches: music, comics, film, games, and images. We wish to share these interests with you in our own special way. CrunchyCo is made up of primary contributors, third party artists, and a network of helping friends. We take enjoyment from creating art to share, and hope that others take enjoyment from the things we create. For more information, please view our About page.
2. What can I do here?
If you are here, you must have some sort of interest that led you here. Whatever it is that drew you to us is available for your your enjoyment. For example, if here for the music, you can get information on new album releases, view band profiles, order merchandise, and stay informed on upcoming shows, etc. In addition to exploring category-specific content, feel free to post in the forums, enter contests, read/write articles, enjoy downloadable content, order products, and submit various content to us for posting. CrunchyCo is the home base for the fans of our artists.
3. How often do you update?
CrunchyCo.com is updated with minor updates almost every day. Major updates are done on a weekly or monthly basis. Links in news posts and the "Recent Updates" column let you quickly jump to newly updated material. "NEW" icons are placed beside items that are less than one week old.
4. What is that logo supposed to be?
The CrunchyCo logo is a tribute to the very first comic book character created by Gabe Hayward. His name is Crunchy (get it?).
6. Why is the MUSIC section so much bigger than the others?.
Crunchy Records is our hottest area right now. The other sections are growing every day. If you have a project you would like to contribute to one of CrunchyCo's other sections to help them expand, please visit our Submissions page.
7. Where are you located?
CrunchyCo Headquarters is currently in Everett, Washington, though our company's roots and many threads of our operations are based in Marysville, WA. The most important thing is that we exist on this World Wide Web. That way we can extend our reach from the Pacifit Northwest, to the world!
8. I like you. What can I do to help?
We are always looking for generous, caring people to help out! Helping us can be as simple as posting our promotional banners on your personal websites, MySpace profiles, blogs, etc. If you really want to be generous, donating is always an option. Just sharing our products with friends, attending our events, and simply talking to people about us are all good ways to help out too.
9. I am in a band, how can I be on Crunchy Records? or I am some other kind of artist, how can I have my work on CrunchyCo?
Please visit our Submissions page.
10. Do you have any job openings?
CrunchyCo is not hiring at this point in time. Positions may be available as our company grows, but as of now we are purely run by volunteers. If you want to volunteer... well that's a whole different story. If working long hours for no pay is something you're interested in, we'll be delighted to put you to work. While we aren't hiring employees for regular pay, if you have a particular skill you think we could utilize, make us an offer and we might be able to pay you minimally on a per-job basis. Contact Webmaster Gabe with all volunteer work or commission work related inquiries.
