The Game

M.U.G.E.N. is a fighting game application that allows users to create and implement their own characters, backgrounds, and music into a two-dimensional fighter. M.U.G.E.N. itself comes with a few sample characters and locations, but the rest is up to the player to create. There are many M.U.G.E.N. based games out there, many of them mixing custom characters with licensed characters from any game you can imagine. The possibilities of M.U.G.E.N. are endless!

Concept:
In Crunchy X MUGEN, players will experience intense 2D fighting action, CrunchyCo style! Characters will be pixelized versions of real CrunchyCo artists. Battle it out with a friend and see who comes out victorious.

The first version of the game will consist of only 2-3 characters and 1 location. More characters and locations will be released gradually to constantly keep players updated with fresh content.

This title has not yet been released, but will be available for download as soon as it is ready!

Previews

Sprite Test 1
This is the first attempt at making a character sprite for the game. Altogether too small and lacking detail, this design's style was quickly scrapped. The character is the designer himself (Gabe Hayward in his regular clothing):

Sprite Test 2
Having learned from previous mistakes, the second attempt at designing a working character sprite was much more successful. Working in a higher resolution allowed for better shape and more detail. The second test sprite featured Gabe in his Kids Get Hit by Buses stage attire:

While this second test sprite was better than the first, it still lacked in necessary detail. A usable sprite has yet to be made, but the two tests so far have provided a stepping stone for producing better, fully detailed and shaded characters for use in the game when it is released.
